Privacy & Data Policy

1. Information We Collect

SwissNC collects categories of data necessary to provide and secure our software delivery operations:

• Identifiers Provided Voluntarily: Your Full Name, Company/Organization name, and Email address when you request access or sign in.
• Technical Operations & Security Data: A one-way hash of your network address (the address itself is not kept) and browser user-agent types parsed during infrastructure interactions.
• Usage records: the days your account uses SwissNC, when it was last active, and for each computer, a device identifier, a hashed network identifier and your browser type. Used to support your account and manage your license.
• What we never collect: your CAD models, toolpaths, G-code, file names or part numbers. They are processed and saved on your own computer.

Your part data. Your CAD models, drawings, toolpaths, G-code and job files are processed and saved on your own computers by the SwissNC software, and are never sent to us. For that data you are the controller and the only party handling it; SwissNC is neither its controller nor its processor. For the account and usage information described in this policy, SwissNC is the controller, and any data processing terms we agree with you cover that information only.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

If you reside within the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal grounds for managing your information consist of:

• Contractual Performance: Processing your submitted contact parameters to deliver your SwissNC sign-in code.
• Legitimate Interests: Securing our form processors against automation attacks, tracing download limitations, and validating device environment matching rules.

3. Data Retention Framework & License Lifecycle

Sign-in codes and temporary tokens expire automatically. Usage records and your account details are kept while your license is active, and we review them every year. When your license ends, your account stops working that day, and within 90 days we delete it with its usage records. We keep only a minimal record of what was licensed to your account, as needed to enforce our license terms.

4. Third-Party Transfers & International Processing

SwissNC does not monetize, trade, lease, or sell corporate identifiers or operational metadata to third-party advertising brokers. Data transmission is limited entirely to validated automation relays (such as secure mail transfer services) strictly to send sign-in codes and account emails to your inbox. Your records may be stored or transferred outside your home country; we utilize strict data protection standards to maintain security across all infrastructure boundaries.

5. CCPA & GDPR Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including California and the European Union), you hold specific enforceable statutory rights over your personal history data:

• The Right to Access/Know: Request an explicit breakdown of individual category data points currently retained within our logging platforms.
• The Right to Erasure/Deletion: Request that your contact profile details be permanently purged from our infrastructure configurations.
• The Right to Non-Discrimination: Enforcing your privacy rights will never impact your operational software functionality or access parameters.

6. Cookies

Essential cookies. These keep you signed in and protect your account. They are always on, because SwissNC cannot work without them, and they are never used for advertising or shared with third parties.

• Session cookie: keeps you signed in while you use SwissNC. Deleted when you close your browser.
• swissnc_device: a random identifier that lets us recognize a device you have signed in from before, as a security check at sign-in. Kept for up to 400 days.
• swissnc_remember: set only if you choose to stay signed in. Kept for 30 days and replaced regularly.

Optional cookies. With your permission, we may use optional cookies to understand how SwissNC is used and improve it. They are off until you choose "Accept all", and choosing "Essential only" keeps them off. Your choice is stored in your browser, not in a cookie, and you can change it at any time from Cookie settings at the bottom of any page.
